More informationThe APDWF-JGHF Travel Grants are to provide the opportunity for clinicians and scientists in the early stages of their career (up to 5 years following the completion of training in gastroenterology/hepatology) to broaden their education and experience the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.
Applicants must be from nationalities of Asia Pacific countries.
A maximum of 70 grants of US$1,500 each are available.
Grants are fully sponsored by the APDWF and the JGHFoundation and are administered by the organisers of APDW.
The grant can only be used to fund attendance at APDW in the relevant year and is not transferable. Priority will be given to a) applicants who have submitted an abstract for APDW or (b) applicants from countries with limited opportunities to attend education and training activities.
Applications for Travel Grants are published on APDW website and close 14 weeks before the congress. Successful applicants are informed at least 8 weeks before the congress and given 1 week to accept the grant. Applicants must be able to converse in English. Their curriculum vitae together with list of papers presented and published must be submitted with the abstract(s) at the time of application. Applicants must submit an abstract and present personally at the APDW. APDW determines the successful applicants.
All selected grant recipients must attend the JGHF Young Clinician Investigator Program (YCIP) which is held one day before the Post-Graduate Course.
